- Name: Hart “Hearts Boxcars” Buchannan
- Age: 48 years old
- Personality: He can be abrasive and rough. He doesn’t like to screw around, especially with business. He doesn’t mind joking, and is light-hearted for the most part, but can become cold and serious on the drop of a hat. Being rough around the edges comes along with this, and he often comes off as forceful or even violent. Though he has a bit of a temper, unlike certain idiots he works with, he can actually control it. He never throws a punch he doesn’t mean.
- On the flip side, he can also be incredibly loving. He is faithful, and very romantic. A victim of a romance novel addiction, he can be sappy, and has a lot of immalleable convictions about what he thinks a relationship should be.
He tries his best to be fair and affectionate to his son. But at the same time, he tries to teach him strength and independence, and usually ends up seeming pushy or angered.
- History: Born the only son of two Scottish immigrants, he was raise in a decently well-off family. Along with his three older sisters, he had a normal childhood. He never witnessed anything traumatizing or horrifying, other than the usual crime that comes with living in the big city. But he was restless. In his teens, he became aggressive, enraged for no reason. He got into a lot of fights, and did a stint in prison.
- Despite his history, he found love in a woman named Esmeralda, and at the age of thirty-one, became the father of a tiny baby boy. However, it didn’t last. After about a year, Tavros’ mother left him in Hart’s care. It wasn’t long before things went downhill. Between the stress of raising a child, and holding down a job decent enough to keep a roof over their heads, Hart had hit a wall.
Then, like magic, a smug imp appeared in Hart’s life. His name was Spades Slick, and he promised stability. He saw from the look in Hart’s eyes that the man was stuck, so he offered him a job. Nothing too big, only two bodies on the floor and a hundred thousand dollars missing. From there, they grew a friendship, and along with two other men, formed the Midnight Crew.
- Headcanons:
- He has man-eating tendencies. He doesn’t actively seek the flesh, but he won’t turn down the chance to make a nice “beef” stew when the opportunity arises.
